insights Back to overview Lean Six Sigma in the Age of AI: Are You Ready? AI is changing the way we work—and process improvement is no exception. Lean and Six Sigma methodologies are evolving as well, and today it is becoming almost essential to use elements of artificial intelligence and virtual tools in process optimization. For example, based on our experience from consulting projects, analysis or synthesis of workshop outputs during project data processing can be up to 80% faster with modern AI tools. Complex value analyses can be completed 40–60% faster. Tools are evolving rapidly, and many Lean practitioners, Green Belts, and process specialists are not yet using them in practice—not because they don’t want to, but because they don’t know exactly how. We would like to share our tips from exploring the digitalization of DMAIC, and that is why we have prepared a new one-day training: Lean Six Sigma with AI support A training where we connect what you already know with what AI does better This training is not about theory. It is about concrete tools, specific approaches, and immediately applicable results—from the very day you return to work. We will cover both simple and more advanced tools. It’s not only about artificial intelligence, but about application support in general (we want to share the tools we actually use ourselves). What we will share with you – in short, how we work We will go through the entire DMAIC cycle and show which AI tools actually work in each phase and how to use them: DEFINE – Problem definition, SIPOC, and VoC analysis using tools such as Claude AI, Microsoft Copilot 365, and Miro AI. What used to take hours can now be done in minutes. Of course, the human factor remains essential, and the Voice of Customer (VoC) still comes from the customer 😊. However, we will let AI handle the processing. We will also show how to work in virtual environments. MEASURE – Structuring project documentation (e.g., in Notion AI), automation in Microsoft Office. We will demonstrate AI integration directly in Excel, saving hours of work. Special attention will be given to process mapping—you will learn how to create a swimlane diagram or Value Stream Map from a text description without drawing, in just 2 minutes. ANALYZE – Ishikawa diagram, 5 Whys, and Pareto analysis with AI as a brainstorming partner. Data analysis using tools such as PowerBelt, Dovetail, or Minitab with AI assistance. IMPROVE – Idea generation in teams, prioritization using Impact/Effort Matrix in Miro AI, creation of FMEA and SOP documents with support from both simple and more advanced applications. CONTROL – Control plans, change project management, and AI recommendations for sustaining improvements. What exactly do AI tools accelerate? Here are a few examples. Every project is different, so the numbers are indicative. However, they illustrate the benefits of the tools we like to use: Tool Role in LSS Impact Mermaid + AI (Claude, ChatGPT) Creation of swimlane diagrams and VSM from text Process map completed in as little as 2 minutes instead of 45–90 minutes of manual drawing Microsoft Copilot Automation of reports, FMEA, and SOP in Office; data synthesis (no need for pivot table expertise) Saves up to 3–4 hours per week per employee on documentation Minitab / Power Belt and other statistical tools Statistical analysis and interpretation of results Reduces data analysis time by up to 50% thanks to automated output interpretation Miro AI Team collaboration, brainstorming, Ishikawa, Impact/Effort Matrix Facilitates team analysis 2–3× faster with higher participant engagement Claude AI / Copilot Generation of SIPOC, VoC analysis, 5 Whys First draft of needs and improvement directions ready in under 5 minutes PowerBelt Automated value analysis and SMED Identification of waste and transition analysis without manual data processing Who is this training for? This training is ideal for Green Belts, quality specialists, process engineers, and analysts who want to multiply the speed and quality of their work—without having to become IT specialists.
